Passenger front floorboard.

Driver front floorboard. Yabba Dabba Do!

Passenger rear floorboard - basically where the back of the seat was
bolt in.

The driver rear floorboard isn't too bad.

At the front of the bed in the Rancheros, there is a plate that forms
the bed and covers the Falcon floorboards underneath. The plate has
to be removable in order to reach the top of the shock mounts. This
is a very BAD idea.

The brace under the access panel. The top of the brace looks good, the
bottom edge is completely gone.

The compartment under that panel is not only wasted space, but a catch
all and holding area for everything - paint scrapings, rust, peanut
shells, leaves, etc. Oh, yes and water.

The gray areas are the garage floor. The rust is pretty bad and we are
not sure if this is a structural area for the unibody.

Yes, that is the driveshaft peeking through the holes where the brace
should be welded to the floorpan.

Pretty much, this area will need to be completely replaced.

To see the extent of the damage, my son pulled out the shop vac and
sucked up all the debris - along with parts of the floorpan.

The holes are larger after the shop vac. Yep, this pan will definitely
need entire replacement.

The vehicle was obviously red to start with.

The rust holes where the floorpan meets the passenger area go all the
way through. Yes, you can reach reach from the passenger compartment
to this compartment.

One of the shock mount bolts. The panel continues beyond this, underneath
that tennis shoe, to meet the actual bed.

The weld area of the brace.

My son showing the missing brace area. He is reaching underneath the
brace, where it should be welded to the floorpan. Due to the amount
of metal missing, the brace will need to be replaced as well.

The body to frame area. As this is a unibody design, we will need to
check this for structural soundness as we work on this vehicle.
